Math
Here are some ideas and activities to practice with your child:
Compare two numbers within 100
Counting to 100 by 1's, 10's
Count by 2's to 20
Count by 5's to 50
Identify numbers up to 120
Write numbers up 31
Add numbers within 10
Play Make 10- This is similar to memory and uses playing cards. Lay cards down flat, flip two at a time, pair has to make ten. Can also use a deck of cards, using a face card for 0.
Play math speed with card. Many student should remember this game. Only need a deck of cards.
(Take all face cards out of the deck, shuffle the cards, each player starts with 5 cards, always having 5 cards in hand, the remaining cards are divided into two stacks, flip two cards in the middle and you can lay the number that comes before or after, keep playing until all cards are played or there are no available options. )
Grab five random items in your house and measure them with a ruler, measure them with beans, paperclips, etc.

- Handwriting/Letter Review:
- Write A-Z, a-z, and your name 3 times!
- Make sure to write your name starting with an uppercase letter and lowercase letters.
- Choose 3-5 popcorn words and write a sentence using each word in a sentence. For example, I see a little cat. The sun is yellow. Do you like me?
